CLASS SCHEDULE 2021
We begin with fun warm-ups and stretching exercises as well as activities that encourage girls to use their imagination. We then introduce ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop techniques using dance terms and examples to enhance their knowledge of dance.
BDB (Ballet and Dance Basics)
A combination beginer dance class of contemporary, ballet, jazz and acro with dance games. This energetic and expressive class will have newer dancers learning basic dance and motor skills, musicality, and rhythm to reach class goals in fun, creative ways. Classes start with ballet basics and then transition into combinations and skills each week.
INTERMEDIATE DANCE BASICS
A beginner ballet class focusing on ballet technique through barre and center work. This class continues a young dancer's training by developing grace, strength, and balance while always having fun. Dancers then will progress into contemporary, a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.
JAZZ / HIP HOP
Calling all girls to this fun, high-energy jazz/hip hop class that lets girls have an exciting dance experience. Dancers develop musicality, creativity, confidence, team-working skills, and coordination. This non-stop, action-packed class includes jazz, hip hop, basic "breaking", and dance games that will have your girls moving to the beats!
PRIVATE AND GROUP LESSONS
Private dance lessons are all about the dancer. We personalize each lesson based on the individual's needs, desires, and goals. We constantly are adjusting our teaching style to the dancer's ability, personality, and expectations. This ensures the most thorough and rapid learning process, all while keeping it fun, easy, and comfortable. Its a great way for beginers to get started and seasoned dancers to take their skills to the next level.
Group lessons can be arranged for your own small private group and can be in any style you choose.
Acro Dance combines elements of acrobatics and floor gymnastics withclassical dance. Acrobatics uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination. DBT Acro Instructors use The Dance The Cutting Edge acro program, classes, and follow their Acrobatic Arts syllabus.
